Alternate route to and from Camalig, Albay for those with adventurous spirit
Once in a while, someone with adventurous spirit would venture into the unknown just for the heck of it.
If you are one of those who do it on wheels, like a friend who just hopped into his SUV from Region V (Bicol Region) and drove all the way to Davao Province, taking the ro-ro rides in Matnog, Sorsogon and Maasin, Southern Leyte in between, of course, you might want to consider some ways of reducing "travel time" which is not exactly spent traveling but merely sitting inside your vehicle waiting for the cars in front of you to move so you can get to your destination.
One such way is taking alternate routes to avoid congested places like what Daraga has lately become (partly due to a construction project that is supposed to widen the road in that town).
A road that used lead only to a local tourist attraction, the Hoyop-hoyopan Cave, has already been extended to a point along Maharlika Highway (AH26) that went past Daraga, Albay proper and close to the new International Airport that is being constructed in the area.
The route has signages that will point you in the right direction.
And, as a bonus, it is a good place to take a "selfie" (wide shot) with the Majestic Mayon Volcano. Something that is only possible if you can get unhampered view of the scenery from a certain distance.
