Students returned to Mindanao State University (MSU) – Main Campus in Marawi City to pursue their studies despite the ongoing conflict between the ISIS inspired Maute Group and the military.
Authorities earlier said the danger zone is now contained in about half a square kilometer on the other side of the city.
The Philippine Information Agency reported that around 600 students who wanted to return were conveyed to the campus using 12 buses which went through a thorough inspection conducted by the military before entering the city.
